Current opportunity for a Preconstruction Manager / Senior Estimator:
CDI Contractors, LLC is seeking an experienced constructor to manage the preconstruction and estimating process at a project level prior to the start of construction. Must have experience in all aspects of estimating, scheduling, constructability, value analysis and technical knowledge of subcontractor trades. Must have good communication skills to interact and meet the needs of internal and external clients.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
-
Oversight and responsibility for accurate and detailed project estimates from concept to final documents
-
Ability to plan overall project schedules including owner items and milestones
-
Facilitation of Team meetings throughout the Preconstruction Process
-
Conflict resolution, value analysis and constructability reviews and recommendations
-
Understanding and management of Building Information Modeling (BIM)
-
Understanding of Sustainable Design and Construction
-
Maintenance of Historical Cost Database
-
Development and maintain lasting relationships with subcontractor and industry vendors
-
Support of Director of Preconstruction.

Requires management of large and/or multiple projects in different stages of development

Innovative ideas and creativity is encourage

Oversight and responsibility for competitive bid efforts
-
All other duties as required
JOB KNOWLEDGE/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
-
Five to Seven years of industry experience
-
Bachelor’s Degree in construction management, engineering or equivalent preferred
-
Experience in Microsoft Excel, Project and Word with the willingness to learn new software such as Revit, Timberline, On-Screen Takeoff, Primavera P6
-
Must be a team player and must have excellent customer service skills

Must demonstrate capacity for construction risk management
-
Must be able to interact with clients/architects, etc.

Must possess strong oral and written communications skills

Must be a self-starter who is detail oriented and accurate
-
Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen test and background check
