Current opportunity for a Project Administrator:

 

The Project Administrator role is an entry-level management position that coordinates all shop drawings, reviews submittals, expedites deliveries, oversees project cost accounting, processes owner and subcontractor billings, and coordinates all construction document management. This position is often based at a jobsite office and has the opportunity for travel. 

Ideal candidates possess a bachelors or master’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related technical degree, and experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Navisworks, Revit, and Primavera P6 software.  

The Project Administrator provides coordination support to the Project Superintendent and Project Manager and develops skills for career advancement within CDI Contractors.

Current opportunity for a Field Engineer in Northwest Arkansas:

Candidates must be highly motivated with previous knowledge of construction layout and surveying.  The position is responsible for commercial construction layout activities on local Northwest Arkansas projects. This includes building control line layout, site & building elevation control & quality control.

Field Engineers must know and understand how to read, interpret, and implement construction plans. A good knowledge of survey equipment such as total stations, levels, lasers, etc… is desired. The candidate must have knowledge of AutoCAD or survey software to be able to take data and compute into points necessary for layout on the project site.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Subcontractor management
  • Responsible for multiple projects at one time
  • Review project documents for accuracy
  • Compute points to perform layout duties
  • Ensure all sub-grades, limits, and coordinates for initial building pad are correct
  • Q.C. of all foundations, footings, spread footings, anchor bolts
  • Layout of control lines, setting temporary bench marks, checking batter boards, forms
  • Q.C. all sub-contractors work to ensure it adheres to the contract documents

Current opportunity for a Virtual Design & Construction Coordinator:

The Virtual Design & Construction Coordinator  works directly with project teams to assist the projects delivery throughout design and construction utilizing Building Information Modeling. S/He is responsible for planning, executing, and closing out of BIM deliverables at the project specific level.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage BIM process on specific projects throughout preconstruction and construction
  • Develop and execute Project Specific BIM plans
  • Develop, manipulate, and maintain 3D models for specific projects for use during preconstruction and construction
  • Analyze models provided by Architects and Design Engineers & adjust for internal use in Estimating and Construction Operations
  • Participate in VDC Committee meetings & national conferences
  • Utilize models to support Estimating
  • Perform and Document Quantity take-off reports
  • Generate 3D/4D Site logistics plans
  • Create 4D visualizations to communicate Schedule and sequence of work
  • Create/ Render Virtual mockups
  • Create Presentation material/ visual aids
  • Utilize models to support Construction Operations
  • Manage coordination of work with subcontractors utilizing 3D models
  • Model scope gaps necessary for coordination of overhead MEP trades
  • Run clash detection, document clashes, and track through Clash Reporting
  • Maintain/Assist project team with COBie execution
  • Work with Field Engineers and Subcontractors to establish Total Station layout points in model
  • Provide regular QA/QC field walks to ensure field installations match coordinated models
  • Record and Report project data for case studies
  • Train employees in the use of VDC technology and processes

EDUCATION/SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • 2-5 years of experience in the construction industry with minimum 1 year direct BIM/VDC responsibilities
  • Experience with coordinating MEP trades is required
  • Proficiency with Autodesk Revit Suite, Navisworks, AutoCad is required
  • Advanced knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office is required
  • Experience with Tekla, QTO, Solibi, Synchro, 3DS Max, & Inventor is a plus
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Ability to use time productively, maximize efficiency, and meet challenging work goals
  • Ability to take on additional responsibilities as needed
  • Ability to work well as a part of a team and independently
