CDI to Manage New Construction at SAU in Magnolia

CDI Contractors, LLC has been awarded the Construction Management contract for the Center for Agricultural Studies at Southern Arkansas University (SAU) in Magnolia, Arkansas.

Planned for a Fall 2012 completion, the new two-story, approximate 35,000 square foot academic building, designed by Witsell Evans Rasco in Little Rock and CADM Architecture in El Dorado, will house classrooms, laboratories and a lecture hall. The building will be constructed near the new University Science Center which was also constructed by CDI Contractors and completed in March of 2010.

The new facility will consolidate all agricultural teaching disciplines into one facility and will offer SAU students the latest technologies in pursuit of their learning and research about farming.  The department is now located in a building that was constructed in 1946 and the new facility will enhance the tradition of agricultural studies that was founded in 1909 at SAU.

The CDI team proud of their accomplishments at SAU, having previously completed two buildings on the SAU campus; the 65,000 square foot Science Center, mentioned above, as well as the 75,000 square foot Donald W. Reynolds Campus and Community Center.  We thank SAU for affirming CDI’s value to their mission by selecting us once again.
