University of Arkansas Discovery Hall Renovations
University of Arkansas Fayetteville
This five-story 54,000 SF chemistry and biology learning facility originally opened in 1968. The first phase of renovations began in 2010 and this project completes the updates to the building. Areas renovated in this phase include chemistry and biology labs, support and preparation areas. These rooms received new finishes (resilient flooring, paint, etc.), new laboratory casework, and fume exhaust hoods. New fan coils and controls were installed throughout the building. The scope of work also included asbestos abatement, roof replacement, and fully sprinkling the building. CDI is working with university staff and the architect to certify the building to the equivalent of LEED Silver or Green Globes 2 Globes.
