The Nanoscale Material Science and Engineering Building is the home base for the Institute for Nanoscience and Engineering and the Microelectronics-Photonics (µEP) Graduate Program, and it is the physical home of the Arkansas Analytical Lab. This 75,000 sq ft 3-story facility houses state-of-the-art materials and analytical laboratories, cleanrooms, sensitive instrument laboratories housing TEM and SEM microscope equipment, wet labs, faculty offices, classrooms and meeting spaces. Due to the extreme sensitive nature of the research equipment, the building components and systems are built such that they mitigate exterior vibrations and electro-magnetic interference (EMI) as well as contain exemplary humidity and temperature controls (i.e., controls temperatures to the 0.1 deg. Celsius).
