Situated within the Evans Children’s Adventure Garden, the Bob and Sunny Evans Tree House provides an interactive educational experience for young visitors. This distinctive structure, designed by Modus Studio of Fayetteville and planned by Fay Jones School of Architecture and Design, blends in naturally with the surrounding forest environment. The three-level tree house is accessible from the ground or from an overhead boardwalk and features a third-floor crow’s nest that can be reached only by climbing a rope ladder.
Standing 13 feet off the ground, the structure is 45 feet long and 28 feet tall. Use of natural materials was paramount in all aspects of construction, with metal and glass used where necessary to ensure structural stability and enhance visitor safety. This unique structure represents an exciting addition to Arkansas’ premier botanical gardens.
The project was recently awarded the National AIA Small Project Award. Check out this video produced by Blk Elk Media to honor the award.
