When the Arkansas State Police decided to convert Little Rock’s former Southwest City Mall into its new headquarters, CDI was selected to achieve this 200,000+ SF transformation. A complete interior renovation was necessary to convert the facility – previously home to a department store, grocery and various retail shops – into spaces suitable for ASP’s administrative offices and other functions. Working in a true partnership with the owner and design firm, CDI’s construction professionals proposed numerous cost- and time-saving alternatives to accelerate completion and reduce the project’s pricetag. The facility includes large classrooms and training rooms, two boardrooms, communications and 911 center. Additional areas include secure storage, fitness center, and trooper barracks and training center. The building features a digitally controlled HVAC system designed to save money and energy and a sophisticated access control system for enhanced security. Thanks to our unmatched construction expertise, CDI was able to complete this impressive transformation while delivering the project on time and within budget.
