This $17.2 million expansion of Arkansas’ premier outdoor performance venue was completed in seven months during the venue’s off season. The overall venue capacity increased by 1,000. The box office expanded from four service windows to seven – making it easier for patrons to purchase and pick up their tickets.
The main entry plaza is 19,500 SF, double the size of the original space, and features one additional concession stand and 36 additional restroom stalls. Of the total 15,000 SF added to the top of the lawn seating area, 12,300 of those are dedicated to a new covered plaza designed for flexible concert viewing and event rentals. It included a new 80-foot custom-built bar. Also included in the lawn expansion are two uncovered plazas with 62 added restroom stalls, two new concession stands and flexible space for viewing and activations.
An expanded main entrance on the west side plus the new entrance on the north side of the Walmart AMP allows use of up to 12 gates. AMP Vision, a closed circuit concert feed, will be displayed on 19 dedicated displays throughout the venue and the two video walls on stage so patrons never miss a beat during the show.
