This three-story addition includes laboratory, teaching, learning and research space that allows flexibility to accommodate current and future teaching methods. The project involved selective demolition of an existing planetarium and adding a floor, both of which were utilized for new faculty office space. Laboratory spaces were renovated for proper floor-to-ceiling heights required for modern equipment, and improvements in equipment efficiency and energy utilization resulted in LEED certification.
