Ella Carnall Hall was built in 1906 as a women’s dormitory for the University of Arkansas. The National Historic Register property now serves as the Inn at Carnall Hall, a boutique hotel on the historic Quad at the University of Arkansas. In 2018, CDI completed a phased renovation project that included select demolition on multiple floors of the project while the hotel remained in operation serving guests. Renovations included restoring and re-purposing existing building elements, upgrading electrical systems, new interior finishes and extensive millwork self-performed by CDI. Water infiltration discovered during demolition also required repairs to historic windows and exterior masonry.
